Ewen McIntosh is a Canadian musician, songwriter and schoolteacher who has contributed to more than 5 full length albums, 2ep's and 1 solo record, which have cumulatively sold over 45,000 copies worldwide. He has racked up over 1000 nights on the road, playing across Canada, the U.S.and Europe with such acts as True North Records recording artists The Mahones, Maple Music recording artists Glengarry Bhoys and Plastic Paddy recording artists The Peelers. He received a B.A. from Trent University with a joint major in English and History in 2003, and completed a Masters of Science in Teaching (MST) from the State University of New York at Potsdam in 2005. He fronted The Crofters, who played 330 shows in 3 years across Canada and the U.S between 2002-2005. He currently performs solo dates in venues in Eastern Ontario, plays bass for local Celtic favourites The Whiskey Dealers, mandolin with singer/songwriter Neil Emberg and operates a live sound reinforcement company as well as a project recording studio.

Ewen has been employed with the Upper Canada District School Board for three years where he has taught various classes in English, Geography and SPecial Education at both Tagwi Secondary School and General Vanier Intermediate School. In the 2008-2009 school Year Ewen will be teaching continuing education through T.R. Leger school. He owns a 100 acre cash crop farm where he lives with his cat Pete.
